April and Paolo flew all the way from Arkansas to celebrate their love for each other in the city of light. They simply eloped; “A little girls dream!” A few words from our bride:”We eloped in Paris earlier this month and choosing Olivier as our photographer and Wedding Light Events to coordinate was the best decision we made. Our photos and video were absolutely amazing! We are both camera shy, but thankfully he guided us through the day and somehow made the end product look so natural and effortless. He also had the photos & video back to us within the same week! Is that even possible? Needless to say, our expectations were met a million times over. Thank you!!!”

Claudia and Georges married in Paris and celebrated their wedding at the hotel Georges V. Georges had proposed in Paris and the fairy tale continued in the city of light a year later. They wedding ceremony took place at the German evangelist church of Paris; 25 rue Blanche. It was the occasion to brush up my German communication skills. We managed to access the rooftop of the Georges V for a few photographs with the Eiffel tower in the background. It is such an incredible view over Paris skylight. Beautiful memories…

Michelle and Matt decided to elope to Paris after Michelle had seen some photos of a wedding couple happily running the streets of Paris with the Eiffel tower in the background. They stayed at the Shangri-La where they had a private diner on the suite terrace overlooking the Eiffel tower.Their intimate ceremony took place at the square Jean XXIII overlooking Notre Dame. Lovely day with a fun and loving couple!

Michele and Stuart flew to Paris for their wedding elopement mid summer. They had an intimate ceremony on the tip of the Isle de la cité with a couple of friends who flew from London. Stuart is a film editor in L.A and a big movie fan. He asked us to capture bits and pieces of the days emotions with a super 8mm video camera and Edith Piaff’s song “la vie en rose” playing in the background. Quite lovely … It was my first time on top of Notre Dame and what a view to dye for, the Seine and the whole of Paris rooftop at your finger tips.

Dean and Rachel got engaged in Paris and Olivier; WeddingLight photographer photographed their engagement session in central Paris back then. They returned a year later for their wedding day at the Shangri-La hotel. They flew from the east coast with their intimate family. The Shangri-La hotel is the most amazing backdrop for a destination wedding in Paris. They had a Jewish ceremony at the hotel with their rabbi who flew from NYC for the occasion. Lots of tears and laughers for a very special occasion with a great bunch of people.

Jennifer and Donny flew from Louisiana to seal their union in the city of Love. WeddingLight Events planned their elopement. They had an intimate ceremony at the chapel Expiatoire in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. Although they had lived with each other for the past 10 years, they were both so moved through out the day. It was very emotional!

Jan and Jeremy started dating in Paris while on a business trip! They fall in love with each other and obviously the city. Had a few more trips over the years, Jeremy proposed in Paris and it was only so natural that they married on the Seine with friends and family who flew from California and spent their evening at their favorite restaurant on the Isle St Louis. The food was Yummy and the day all so festive.

Sofia and Bernd contacted us from Hong Kong to capture on film their Paris elopement. Sofia had studied international laws in Paris, spoke fluent French. Of course, it was Sofia’s dream to Marry in Paris. They married at the chapel Expiatoire and we went around the city for our little video clip, capturing their love with beautiful Paris in the background from the Eiffel tower, to the bridges, the seine, the Louvres, the isle St Louis and so on. Sofia remembered listening to Leonard Cohen while she was living in Paris and requested to have one of his love song for the soundtrack. Happens to be one of my favorite too. Oh it was Bernd’s first time in Paris, and I still remember the sparkles in is eyes.

I do love the park Monceau tucked away in the 8th arrondissement of the city. Susie and Mitch had their elopement ceremony on a little bridge overlooking a pound in the middle of the park while little French girls were having some fun on the merry go round few steps away. It is one of the many beautiful backdrop for an informal and intimate wedding ceremony that Paris has to offer. I do love Paris, so grand and full of history. Their wedding video clip is a perfect exemple of a couple’s elopement in the city of light.

Elizabeth and Nicholas married on a beautiful luxury boat on the seine over a summer night. We met a few days before the wedding so that we could record on tape their love story, how they met, their first kiss, their love with Paris and so on. We edited our conversation to the visuals and the soundtrack. It is definitely an interesting approach to wedding video. I find it quite moving myself!

Daniel and Paulette flew from Miami to get married in Paris on a 14th of february. They had the wedding ceremony at the American church and a lovely diner at the “maison des polytechniciens”. The brother of the bride was an amazing self made soul singer. He befriended the band and orchestrated the show for the evening. The party went on til quite late. A lovely day with a little rain, a beautiful bride and some funky dance moves.

Jennifer and James flew from Canada to Paris for their elopement. They had decided to have their wedding ceremony in the gardens of Marie Antoinette in Versailles. It was a fall afternoon, the leaves were all turning gold and yellow. Marie Antoinette’s gardens set the tone for a visually beautiful afternoon. Art teacher, Jennifer had asked for something quite unique for her wedding video. She sent us the soundtrack and a few ideas. Voila!

Sara and Zaid flew all the way from New Zealand with their parents and siblings. Both dads studied in Paris in the 60’s. That is where their love for the city grew from. They had just had a big wedding celebration in Auckland but couldn’t do without having something small and intimate in Paris as well.

Scott and Kellieann flew from Syracuse with their 4 grown up kids. Scott had studied medecine in Paris and Kellyann never been to the city of love. They married in the U.S and Scott wanted to surprise his beautiful wife with something quite different. WeddingLight Events orchestrated their Parisian elopement. They had a beautiful ceremony at the Square Jean XXIII, right behind Notre Dame. Tourists and people passing by were gathering in the distance and quietly watched this very moving moment. Another beautiful day in heaven.

Sandra and Elie had been living in Paris for a few years, the city where they met, fall in love and decided to get married before moving to the middle east. They married at the city hall and we went around the city with just the two of them recording their love for each other with some iconic visuals of Paris. From the seine, to the Louvres, rue de rivoli, the national opera house, they played and danced for the camera and celebrated their love in a very intimate way. We said goodbye at the restaurant maison Blanche as the sun was going down over the city.
